The District has an ongoing service work opportunity.
The Hickory Toll Free Hotline has modernized, and we greatly need volunteers
available to take calls forwarded from the live service operators.
If you have an interest in volunteering, you may call the hotline at 1-877-960-4785 and tell them you wish to be added to the call list. The district strongly suggests a minimum of one year sober to volunteer! Please contact dcm@ncfoothillsaa.org for more information!
The district has several open positions for officers and coordinators. You may contact dcm@ncfoothillsaa.org for more information on these postitions. If you are interested in standing for a position please attend the next district meeting listed above.
Open Service Positions:
LCM - Catawba: goes to Catawba County meetings and keeps them informed with information about district, area, and GSO news and events.
LCM - Caldwell: same as above for Caldwell County meetings.
LCM - Burke: same as above for Burke County meetings.
Cooperation with Professional Community/Public Information (CPC/PI): develops and maintains contacts within professional communities (doctors, law enforcement, legal, etc) and also to the general public (radio, libraries, etc) to provide information on services AA provides and what it does not provide.
Accessibilities: helps groups' efforts to provide accommodations to people with accessibility issues.
Volunteers Needed for Corrections Meetings
There is a real need for more volunteers for this important service work!
There is an application and training process required to bring a meeting into a correctional facility.
Contact James K at corrections@ncfoothillsaa.org for more information. James is also asking for anyone who has a current blue card to contact him as well.
